Surgical Procedures
Dr. Mikkilineni performs minor surgical procedures in the office for both benign and malignant skin conditions. We handle small excisions on non-cosmetically sensitive areas, along with cryotherapy (freezing), punch biopsies and removals, electrodesiccation and curettage, and electrocautery.
For more extensive procedures or cosmetically sensitive areas, we maintain strong referral relationships with specialists, including Mohs surgeons for complex skin cancers and plastic surgeons for advanced reconstructive needs. This collaborative approach ensures you receive the most appropriate care for your specific condition.

Surgical Therapies and Treatments
Biopsies may be performed by shaving, snipping, punch removal, or elliptical excision. Benign and malignant growths can be treated by surgical elliptical excision. Small benign lesions may be removed in their entirety and biopsied simultaneously. Cautery and cryotherapy are other modalities used to remove precancerous lesions or manage benign growths.
